Health Insurance Information

Here’s how Health Insurance Works with Us:

We’re happy to see patients with most health insurance plans, (except for AXA). We’ll work directly with your insurance provider to make the process as smooth as possible.

A Quick Note About Payment

For some insurance providers, especially those from overseas, we may ask you to pay upfront and then claim the cost back from your insurer. This is a common practice.

Before Your Appointment

To help us process your insurance claim, please have your authorisation code and membership number ready.

About Insurance Excesss

If your insurance policy has an excess, you’ll need to pay this directly to us. We usually won’t know about this excess until we receive the payment from your insurer.

Still Have Questions?

Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about health insurance or the payment process. We’re here to help!

Getting the Most Out of Your Bupa Coverage

To ensure your Bupa coverage helps with your podiatry needs, here are a few friendly reminders:

  • Pre-authorisation: Before your appointment, it’s best to check with Bupa to see if pre-authorization is required. This way, you’ll know exactly what’s covered. You can reach Bupa by calling 03456 090 111 or through live messaging on their website (link to Bupa live chat).
  • Self-Referrals: Great news! Evolution Podiatry accepts self-referrals, but keep in mind Bupa might require a referral from your GP/Consultant depending on your plan.
  • Billing and Excess: We handle the billing with Bupa directly through their online portal. If you have an excess on your policy, you’ll pay that directly to the clinic.

Important Note:

Bupa’s agreed fee is with the individual podiatrist, not Evolution Podiatry Ltd. This shouldn’t affect your coverage, but we wanted to be transparent!

We’re Here to Help!

If you have any questions about your Bupa coverage or the billing process, don’t hesitate to ask. We’re happy to help ensure your appointment runs smoothly.

While Evolution Podiatry welcomes self-referrals, please note that your insurance provider, such as Vitality, may require a GP or consultant referral before your appointment.

To confirm your coverage:

Important:

  • Pre-authorisation: Please ensure that your appointment and/or treatment is pre-authorised by Vitality before your consultation.
  • Billing: Evolution Podiatry will bill your insurance company directly.
  • Self-funding: If your insurance provider does not cover the consultation fees, you will be responsible for self-funding the treatment.

Please contact Vitality with any questions regarding your policy coverage prior to your appointment.

Evolution Podiatry is a recognized facility for Vitality.
